The heater is designed for frequent sauna use and longer sauna sessions, delivering consistent heat and dependable performance. Its large stone capacity ensures balanced heat distribution while producing authentic Finnish löyly steam when water is poured over the hot stones.
The Virta HL80E operates with a Harvia Xenio digital control system (sold separately), allowing convenient temperature and timer adjustments.

Heating Performance

This heater requires 100 pounds of sauna stones, which absorb heat from the elements and gradually radiate warmth throughout the sauna room. Pouring water over the heated stones produces traditional Finnish löyly steam.

Stone Requirements
The Harvia Virta HL80E requires 100 lbs of sauna stones.
Recommended configuration:
3 boxes – 44 lbs sauna stones (10–15 cm)
Sauna stones absorb heat from the heating elements and gradually release warmth throughout the sauna room, creating a balanced and comfortable sauna experience.
